Dear Colleagues,

As Turkish Respiratory Society (TRS), we are very happy to invite our valuable members and physicians to the 31st NATIONAL CONGRESS-RESPIRATION 2009 in Izmir-Çeşme dated 17-21 October 2009.

With the power of success and over a thousand of participants we achieved at 30th National Congress of RESPIRATION 2008 in Bodrum, TRS wants to organize more comprehensive and satisfying congresses. With your valuable participation, we plan to organize sessions including a rich scientific program with an emphasis on respiratory diseases, physiology and also subjects providing socio-communal messages. Our objective is to share our knowledge that we use during current and daily practice in an interactive context for common chest disorders, allergy, thoracic oncology, intensive care, sleep disorders, pediatric chest disorders, tuberculosis, chest surgery, imaging techniques, rehabilitation, physiology of respiration and for other branches that we have expertise. RESPIRATION 2009 will be empowered with the participation of international scientists besides dynamic national scientists with experience in their areas.

As a part of Turkish Chest Disorders Proficiency Board, TRS continues its self-organization to establish all the functions that a proficiency association should meet for current conditions. TRS meets all the requirements of a proficiency association by 10 successful work groups and four already established regional branches and also three regional branches to-be-established. All work groups and regional branches will make their own meetings and finalize their annual planning. We invite our valuable participants to actively work in TRS under domains of branches or work groups during congress.

During RESPIRATION 2009, a wide range of subjects about first line treatments, prescription, problems of health care providers other than physicians will be examined at length. Among disciplines that we corroborated with, we plan to allocate more space in this year by increasing the session number for the disciplines of Chest Surgery, Physiology, and Pediatric Chest Disorders.

We would like to see you in a beautiful spot of our country, Çeşme during the best climate of the year at October with your valuable participation in our congress which includes a satisfactory content and sufficient social program.
