Dear Colleagues;

33rd National Congress of Turkish Respiratory Society, RESPIRATION 2011, is going to be held at Cesme-Sheraton Hotel, where it was held in the past, between 15-19 October 2011.
Science and technology are advancing and changing at a dazzling rate in this century. It seems more logical to monitor the change through scientific meetings, develop solutions for the problems and introducing innovations into practice after discussing them, than to reach this speed alone.

In order to have the congress, needed by our area of expertise, we are preparing a scientific program, which includes training courses and especially clinical practice topics, by considering the demands and views of our colleagues, who participated in our previous congresses, and by consulting our working groups and branches.

Our congress not only aims to convey the latest academic developments but also examining the solutions to clinical problems we encounter in daily practice.

There are going to be sessions in four parallel halls, presented by national and international spokespersons, who are experienced in their field this year. Some sessions are going to be held in interactive environment with your active participation.

Special presentations and poster presentations in basic sciences and research in clinical research in our country are going to be enriched through our precious lecturers and congress participants. Moreover, important articles of year 2011 are going to be presented and discussed at specialist student sessions, which we started two years ago.

RESPIRATION 2011 is not going to include only scientific topics but also social topics, which concern us at least as much as the scientific ones. We think paramedical topics are going to arouse interest, in addition to professional sessions.
As it was in the past years, the best scientific study is going to receive encouragement award  after assessing verbal and poster presentations.

In line with the configuration and creation of our society, working with various disciplines such as Thoracic Surgery, Pediatrics, Infectious Diseases, Respiratory Physiotherapy and  Respiratory Physiology, strengthens our scientific program even further. We hope to share scientific developments and social activities in a peaceful and calm environment with you, our precious colleagues, and invite all of you to RESPIRATION 2011.
