Abstract Submission Rules

• Online abstract submission is the only submission type. Abstracts sent through e-mails and mail independent from the online systems are not going to be accepted.
• Deadline for sending statements is 05 September 2011. Electronic system is going to be closed by the stated date.
• Those, who are going to use the online submission system for the first time should register the using the "New User" link.

General Rules for Abstracts

• The limit for abstracts is 350 words, excluding title and name, institution of authors.
• System will not allow the submitter to enter more than 350 words in this field.
• Font of the letters used in abstract is standardized by the system automatically and can not be changed.
• Abstracts should be organized as introduction, materials and methods, results and discussion, conclusion.
• Title should be explanatory for the content of the study. Title of the abstract should be written in upper case excluding the special words such as NaCl or pH. When an abbreviation is used in text, the expanded form should be stated in parentheses at the first occasion, excluding the chemical signs and international units.
• Regarding research performed on humans, abstracts should have an ethical committee approval and should be in compliance with the laws of Turkey.
• Since abstracts submitted online are going to be published as entered; spelling errors should be checked.
• Presentations selected to be presented at the Scientific Committee are going to be published in Journal of RESPIRATION, special volume.

Feedback

• Submitted abstracts will be evaluated through online system and results of the evaluations will be sent after 15 September 2011 to the e-mail address defined in the system. Evaluation process about the presentations may be followed through the system  with e-mail address and password of the user.

Posters

• Accepted poster abstracts should be prepared as “e-posters,” by using the system.

E-Posters
After you receive in writing stating that your presentation(s) are accepted as e-posters, please:

1. Keep all the documents to (Only text, figures, tables and pictures in Word or Power Point format) be included in the poster in your computer.
2. Enter the system by using your AbstractAgent™ account, which you have previously used while submitting the abstract.
3. Click on the “My presentations” button on the left column. You can reach all of your information here.
4. Click the "Full Text/ Upload Poster," placed under the accepted abstract(s) as posters.
5. By clicking the related parts of your poster in the pop-up screen, "copy-paste" the parts in their places, add figures and tables if available, and save.
6. Check out your poster by “preview” button.
7. When you are sure that there are no missing parts or errors left, click the “Confirm” button.
8. Your poster will be shown in congress center alternately with “electronic poster player” in the computers which will be active during congress.
9. Note: E-poster submission will start after the acceptance of the presentations.
